Why do we use “agreements” against “standards”: we deliberately use the term “agreements” because “standards” make assumptions about what we consider appropriate and inappropriate, and we wonder who is normal, you use? At HarvardWIT, we want to make these decisions intentionally as a community and make sure that this document is alive, which actively involves your feedback from everyone. These community agreements guide HarvardWIT`s events and discussions and we ask all participants to keep an eye on these agreements when participating in our events. The name ABCD Line is of Japanese origin after being broadcast by the Japanese government in propaganda and textbooks in the late 1930s.

It is an example of Japanese propagandists who present Japan as the protector of Asia, as in the name of the colonial possessions of the Japanese Empire, the Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere. [2] This war narrative depicts Japan, which was mainly fighting against Western colonialists and Chinese Communists, ignoring the primacy of resource-rich regions of Asia in the annexation of Japan.
